The Wine Trade Sports Club Squash Team has been has been one of the stalwarts of the club for many decades now. In that time, we have established a fun and competitive list of fixtures in and around London, and we hold an annual doubles tournament at Lord’s. 

Matches

We currently play around 20 fixtures per season (October to April) against a variety of teams, from old school teams, established Squash Clubs such as Hurlingham, Roehampton and Queens, members clubs such as the Royal Air Force Club and the Honourable Artillery Company, and company teams such as John Lewis. The team does not have a home club but instead plays at the opposing teams’ clubs, usually bringing some bottles of wine to try post-match to repay the hospitality.

Tournament

As well as the matches throughout the season, we hold an annual doubles tournament, open to all Wine Trade Sports Club members, at Lord’s in the spring. This is a great event and allows players of all abilities to take part.
