Golf vs vs The Seniors Golfing Society at Denham

On 4th May, 13 golfers represented the wine trade in their annual match vs The Seniors Golfing Society at Denham Golf Club.

Fresh from our victory (the first in many years) in the 2020 edition, which was moved to late summer due to the pandemic, hope were high. These hopes were raised even further with an excellent morning performance winning the morning 4-2, morale was high and was boosted by news of a hole-in-one by our own Nick Madgett.

We once again shared a selection of lovely wines with our opponents and perhaps this, alongside the drink bought by Nick, meant we lunched rather too well, as we lost the afternoon 5-1, therefore losing the day 7-5. All in all it was a great day and enjoyed by everyone, and Denham GC looked after us extremely well, my thanks go to the team, and I hope you will all be able to play again next year.
